Indie Detroit Shopping: Rustbelt Market

I’m sure you all know about my love affair with Rustbelt Market in Ferndale. Well, most Sunday afternoons we like to stroll the market after brunch. I find the coolest stuff!

Have you heard about their new kickstarter campaign? Support one of my favorite independent businesses as they grow into an amazing place for events and more… {and maybe a few of my classes perhaps?} I am backer and you should be too. Support Metro Detroit’s local indie shopping at it’s best!

Visit their website for more info on vendors, upcoming events and the story behind this super cool business.

Here’s a few of my faves from last weekend’s market:

I love it when Stay Pressed dj’s. they have the best vinyl.
Liesl is back with her dresses! They are flattering for any body type. Seriously! Go try one on!
David Moroz makes the most gorgeous upcycled tables and things from recycled wood and metal.
Detroit Picker and Tooth & Nail are an absolute must if you dig vintage things. Here’s what I found in their spaces this week:
vintage medicine and apothecary bottles always catch my eye

I still have my raggedy andy doll! These mini`s are soooo cute!

awesome pyrex makes me so happy

I collect vintage Polaroid cameras, and have this one in my collection.

lots of fun stuff for your walls!

love these colors!

What is your fave thing about Rustbelt? The cool local live music events? HenriettaHaus Coffee? Lichen & Moss? The Rock City Pie guy? {yah, he is pretty cute! ahem… oh, I mean what a nice guy! and his pies are to die for}you know how much I love to talk indie shopping, so tell me your fave in the comments! Oh and don’t forget to head over to kickstarter!!

You are my go-to blog for new places/things to check out downstate! I used to live in Royal Oak and made the move to Northern MI back in 2004. I never knew so many of these great places even existed! Can’t wait to read more posts from you. :) ~Amanda, EastEvelyn Square
